keyword question
by TylerF64 on Sun Sep 20, 2009 7:15 am
Okay first off I would like to say Hi to everyone. I am just starting out and getting ready to write my first article. I do have one question I was doing some key word research and when I typed in the keywords I want to use I don’t quite understand the difference between quoted results and broad results. I get 0 quoted results and 526,000 broad results. Can someone explain the differences and if the results I am getting are good or not?
Thanks

You need to look at the search volume,
if you have a keyword in quotes “Stop dog pulling on lead” and you get zero results in google that’s ok, it’s good if you have people searching for that keyword phase it means you will get page1 top.
Now it’s not so good if google is coming back with no searches in it’s keyword tool. Absolutely no point in bring top of google if no one is seeing your listing.
Look for around 300 – 1500 searches a month in google keyword tool on any phrase keyword you find.
Then check that in google for the results with “quotes ” [ all in title ] and without quotes.
Of cause you can still write your articles on that zero results keyword and hope google places you for part keyword you never even planed for.

HowieB asked about affiliate links in articles.
Now this is a common question many have when they decide to take the free route into earning money online.
And our own Team 10 member Jamie gave a fantastic answer to HowieB’s question.
If you decide to take the leap and take up the wealthy affiliate $1 offer it’s good advice Jamie gave.
Article Marketing Newbie

Hi all,
I don’t know if I am stating the obvious, or that simply the penny has just dropped, but if Ezine Articles don’t allow affiliate links but do allow HTML links, then surely we can cloak the link with text i.e “click for more info” which would then take you to the vendor’s website – or have I got the wrong end of the stick??
Best wishes
HowieB

Howie Just check their terms of service or rules. You will tend to use the same directories over and over again so being familiar with their rules is not much of a burden in the long run.
Being confusing is half the fun. If it was really easy and not a little confusing everyone would be doing this.
Enjoy the learning as well. It will really open up your mind to a whole new world.
Cheers
Jamie
Howie also got 8 others to answer his question.
This only happens at wealthy affiliate, whatever questions you have, and believe me you will have a lot you will get them answered multiple times.
All article directories have their own rules on this. Since HowieB has all ready been given more answers then he can shake a stick at, there was no point in me adding to them.
So for you visitors who wonder what my answer would have been here it is.
Keep it real simple if you want to use direct linking to the vendors sales page invest in a cheep .info domain name and have that redirect your affiliate link to the products sales page.
Sounds complicated but it’s not, it’s real easy to do. Then the problem of what article directories do or do not allow affiliate links goes away.
You will be placing your top level domain name in your article bio box and simply redirecting that to the sales page.
